Ayn Rand's The FountainHead

The bestest birthday gift from a bestie till date! Love to have it in my collections.

The most philosophical book ever read! Most of us have come across different and wide variety of personalities. Some of us may be confused what we wanna be. Some of us may not feel comfortable with ourselves. Some of us choose to be, to be accepted in his crowd. Some of us choose to be, just for himself. Some of us may feel that we don't wanna be what we are and we wanna improve ourselves. Each of us consistently strives to improve our personality in one way or other, depending on their circumstances or experiences.

None of us can know ourselves or others completely at any time.

This book always tells "To Be Yourself, No Matter What" and that's what my dad is doing throughout his life, inspite the peoples' opinion. The bravest man I have ever known!

The book starts with two young architects - Peter Keating and Howard Roark.
Keating and Roark were classmates. In the story, it shows how the two different personalities strives to a mark in their career. It was not a pleasant journey for them. At the end, it's no surprise that the battle was won against all the odds by the unique personality!

Love how the author Ayn Rand portrays five main characters:

Peter Keating: Graduates in Architecture. Rises as a famous architect. Corrupted. Used Roark's help. Backstabbing. People's pleaser. Does the work according to people's opinions. Finally falls into pieces!

Howard Roark: Drop-out. Highly faithful to his own beliefs and ideology. Doesn't care about people's opinions. Struggles with strong opinions that opposed his ideology. A lone man. Believes himself. A character of free-mind, creativeness and individualism. Made an impressive mark in his career!

Gail Wynad: A powerful man and an owner of a famous Press Media.

Toohey: A reporter. Manipulative evil. Have good number of supporters. Wants to take over Wynad's Press Media. Tries to destroy Roark or damage his reputation at every opportunity.

Dominique:  A complex character. A woman for Roark, but at the same time tries to destroy him for (probably) valid reasons. Loves the uniqueness and greatness in a man.

A book to be read more than once!
